I have decided to finally get back into shape, this time I mean it and I am not waiting until tomorrow, Monday, the next formal event or bikini season, my journey to a healthier more fit lifestyle begins now.
I was once in peak shape, I was once the Assistant manager for a fitness club and great example of a person who exemplified an "active lifestyle". Fast-forward the clock a few years from the Ultimate Fitness days, add a comfortable relationship, headache medication and discount the endless yoga, spinning, zumba, and nutrition plan that had consumed a large part of my life a year ago and you have someone who has 50 lbs. of excess weight, limited flexibility and running out of clothes to wear without applying a tourniquet to my waist. Now the only physical activity that I am getting is fork to face and the occasional stroll around the block. How does that happen, how did I let this happen?
Well a combination of a Pastry Arts & Food Marketing Degree, a career working for a reputable corporate company supporting the development of donuts and the entrepreneurial adventure of a cake decorating business didn't help, but it's not rocket science. I didn't have self control, ate to much and didn't exercise enough, that is how it happened and continue reading my blog posts to understand how it will change.
I know what to do, today I begin doing it.
Hahaha Kristin, I'm literally laughing out loud at your "fork to face" workout technique. I am all to familiar with that!
ReplyDeleteI started WW about a month ago, and it works for me! It's just staying dedicated, which is the hard part. Let me know what your workout plan is, because I'd love to take lessons from a fitness club instructor! :D
